Positions I’m looking for:
Scripter (1 – 2 positions) – Able to produce appropriate functions to allow more role play interaction to occur. I am looking for someone that is interested in help us establish our own system, otherwise I will use one of the pre-built ones.
I been interested in the “Myriad” combat meter. Myriad acts more of a MMORPG meter (Similar to WoW) as in it has scripts to make your own monsters, quests and items. All of them are able to be programmed according to “Strength” with a treasure drop implementation.
This thought process is pending and up for discussion.
Scripters will apply their knowledge to help script quests, systems and NPC’s.
Character Designer (1 – 2 positions) -
In order to match our look/theme, I am looking for an Avatar designer that works in Mesh. Since this project is a hybrid between a MMORPG and a normal Role Play sim, we will have shops with items that are purchasable. With that in mind, we will need someone who could design basic clothing for new players along with Armor, weapons and items that you could purchase within the stores.
We need someone who can come up with concepts for the different characters/races and possibly help construct high quality looking avatars.
Also we’ll need some rare items that one could only find from a monster/boss, as I described before we look at this more of an in game world with stores rather than the typical implementation of stores bombarding you right when you enter a role play sim.
Builder/Mesh Designer (2-3 positions) (Environments) –
We have a large world to cover, with the world being the size of 16 sims, establishing such a world will require manpower, Unfortunately as I stated previously I am only one Man and with that I can only handle so much by myself that will require my reach to other Builders. I do require that such a person knows how to create Mesh content. If you don’t know to make Mesh content then I wouldn’t mind discussing additional options. Or if you’re willing I could teach you how to use “Zbrush” and create your own mesh content. This is open to discussion.
This includes people who can create Environments/Houses and large residential structures.
Writers/Game Masters (5-6) –
As stated before in the other descriptions, it’s a big world to fill and with that requires multiple writers to cover different areas of the map. One writer by themselves will be completely overwhelmed when compiling a list of material in order to keep the world new/fresh and evolving. Writers will help direct the flow of the role play world as it progresses through the months. This includes writing quests and what will happen when a player takes on the quest (Beginning and Ending and also the reward) they will also write custom stories about the world that players can find in the library. This also includes Dialogue for each NPC and Social history. As a village/town/city evolves the writer needs to keep everything updated so that there’s something new each day.
As Game Masters, it will be their responsibility to prevent hacking/griefing, foul play that ruins the game for other players and also act as a FAQ for new and existing players.
Animator (1-2) –
There will be a lot of interaction within the world planned. With this in mind an animator would help establish particular scenes to help players engross more in Role play. An animator will come up with custom built Animation overrides, Attack Animations for Weapons, Non player characters (NPCS) like townsfolk or monsters. Also specific scene animations which would be created custom for Quests or staged events. More details for this role will apply as the project progresses and new ideas are created.
Sound Technician (1-2) –
There will be plenty of sounds required for the open world. This role is expected to help come up with Weapon Sounds, character sounds, Quest sounds (Like a sfx for receiving and finishing a Quest) and sound effects for Vehicles, NPC’s and Monsters.
More details will be presentable as the projects progresses.
